Preparing for an Event 3 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
I will be attending my first event this weekend, I will be monstering. I am not sure what I will be doing or what the weekend involves but am looking forward to finding out.

My main concern is what to bring. I have got some items but what are the necessities. For instance It mentions an incharacter drinks holder. Where can I find those or what should I be looking towards? What about footwear should these be incharacter as well?

Good boots as long as they don't have any fancy color on ie not white trainer type.

A pair of neutral trousers and a top best if black and a spare set as it might rain!

In character drinking mug not a ness on first time just use a mug from the kitchen or get a cheep tankard on amazon etc.

basically you are trying to be a blank canvass that the refs will give you kit to cover.

For monstering the best things to bring are as follows:

- base layer - trousers and long sleeved top (black, dark brown are good colours - no logos)
- gloves
- brown or black leather belt
- sturdy plain comfortable boots (black, grey, brown, with no logos best)
- its going to be cold, so possibly a hat to keep your head warm in time out
- sleeping gear - pillow and sleeping bag (mattresses are provided)
- snacks
- drink (tea and coffee provided, need own soft drinks/alcohol)

Apart from that we can provide pretty much everything else

See you on the event - should be fun!

Layers. Lots of layers. Youll get warm while in conbat but the chill soon gets to you. Especially at night.

When you arrive the monster building is near the entrance car park, the smaller one story building to the right

Heya all,

So with February done and March at the end of the week. I had a quick question about events at Candelstone...

Is there a base similar to Consall? My main concern is do I need my tent?

It's not like Consall more of a campsite though it does have Yurts (like permanent tents) and the monsters normally get one to sleep in. You will need something to sleep on and bedding as it may get very cold at night.

Just a note to all - the yurts no longer have furniture in them to create more space. However, if you used to sleep on one of the beds It means they are now gone and you will need to bring something to sleep on.
