Many thanks from me aswell.

Highlights.

- the whole half orc thing with orme

- fighting the hepaths and then the whole fighting retreat and holding off matt as the others took Kal back.

- getting Melieth back.

- the new damage call 'Seb power 4'

- the whole plot thing. Despite doing my best over many years to avoid plot I seem to have ran into a whole heap that made my head hurt.

- catching up with old friends and meeting loads of new people.

too many hills though....

Pete

I seem to remember that you were based at the bottom monster hut for pretty mushc the whole thing?!

The path to the real monster base quickly became a slippery mud bath and twice as fund after dark

I had loads of fun though, funniest moment was Constantine challenging the Drow Knight,

Drow Knight: Preapre yourself, are you Ready?

Constantine: I am.

Drow Knight: Right, Charge!

And all the monsters sprang to the attack. That's my kind of honour fight!

Mick.

Yes that was a suprise. we probably should of expected it. but if i think that we acted very professional we made the shield wall well and retreated in good order.

Constantine was a lot braver than me i wouldnt of stood a chance.

those hills are a cardio vascular workout in itself with out fighting it out. lol

Well I had a fab time, even if I wasn't allowed to fight

I got to play lots of sneaky Drow ( my ears are still Black, not grey, thanks Pete )
Charming and informative NPC's and join in with the party banter.

Gettting Melieth back was my fave - unsurprisingly, fighting with the Agothians and then being released. Forgotten and left bimbling as the Veer chased tha party across the field catching up with the party and charging down a scary muddy hill inthe dark! how fun! I look forward to a time when I can play again!

Lots of hilarity in the monster base, Pete laughin uncontrollaably whilst doing make-up.
Ginger papa smurf...poor Neil.
Seb's necromancer, the initial disappointment at being killed (and Neil being very smug) then the follwing giggles as the fetch thing unfolded.

I look forward to the next

I also had a great time, trouble can be so much fun.

I especially enjoyed being "Interrogated" whilst drinking your grog.

Yes the two dymwan priests conundrum ... ooops... but i do so enjoy killing Seb.

Other highlights, fighting the two Heppaths, Kal suddenly fell over and it got very tense all of a sudden.

Trying to kill Seb again, this time at the beginning in a thorn bush.

Glad to see so many new faces!

The Seed of Darkness - Event Thanks 8 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 3
I'd like to repeat the thanks to all the team for this first adventure weekend, special thanks to Bruce, JB, Pete, SFB and Corrina, and ALL the monsters (with noted additional to those who slept at the top base and ventured on the path of doom more than most!)

My favourite moments were;

Going to the lower base to be asked if it was an ok time to send in wild drow mosh - answer from me was 'Well there are only 3 players at the base and two of them are dead'

Gutrot recognising the TART; and also Gutrot taking the feather from the 'Anubis Statue'

The Chorien 'Fight-Starter' "Kill them - Kill them all"

The 'Dog' on he Path of Evil (You had to be there)

Quicksilver (welcome back) facing off against the Vere and generally showing us Battlemages up by being on the ball

The 'Tribal Creatures' and their Box

- Can't wait for the next one -

Cheers

What a fantastic weekend! As I said to couple of people, it was definitely the most fun I've had monstering.

Obvious highlight was the auction, but I also really enjoyed playing a couple of big baddies too. See you next time George!

Hope all the new people enjoyed it and weren't too wierded out by me in a little dress...

Bring on "Black Orc Down!"

Having never been to any Heroquest events before I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say I was VERY impressed! The level of in-character acting, the combat, the prosthetics, the monsters and the story were of such a high level that I have seldom seen in previous larp events. The welcome I received from players, crew and staff was both warm and genuine as well.

I have to say my favourite parts of the weekend were:

- The exertion onto the Plane of the Sleepless Dead (never larpd at night before) Especially certain people trying to learn to fly

- The fight in the tainted grove and being welded to the floor just as the elementals appeared in front of us. Extra thanks to Silca (sorry if that's spelt wrong) for tending me just in the nick of time.

- Being encircled by the chaos beasts on the last day, then being forced into a epic fighting retreat.

I think you'll be seeing Brekka again very soon

Can't really add much else but glad everyone enjoyed themselves.

I had much more fun than I thought I would when I went out with the lower levels / new people. I was pleasantly surprised at how on the ball they were and how great a party they turned out to be - some great new additions to Heroquest.

Quite a number of Fave moments, but the whole Fetchraiser antics top the bill, with the Grove a very close second.

A great crew and bunch of players - makes me realise why I like HQ so much.

See you all again soon I hope.
