Another top event. I certainly agree with what Michael posted, all round excellent fun with a great crew and party.
The fight on the sand just about finished me off, I was knackered after a long day in armour and then to get that at the end was hard work. And my knee was giving me grief too. Must be getting old.

Thanks to Neil for the fun duel; an ideal situation for a death for Tarndeth. No way was I yielding to the evil sphere!

And Michael, you were lucky I was playing an aspirant knight. If I'd been playing Maggot I definitely would have taken advantage of your knackered state.

L8R,
Adam.

I would like to add my very great thanks to MBT for writing the event and for being the overall ref for the event - great job.

Also particular thanks to my monsters on "Team Don't Fight the Girl, She's Dangerous!!". Their massive efforts ensured that the stag party had a very enjoyable time and all in very good humour with nary a complaint about all of the masks I made them wear and the pod-shots they recieved

So cheers to Anthony, Tom, Dave, Callum (CJ), Conner, Lloyd, Stephan, Alex, Martin and anyone else I have forgotten (including the other half of the monster crew who were busy beating up the other party) you can all monster for me any time.

Players were great too - nice to see so many new characters getting started this year.

See you all in August I hope - I'm playing so if anyone fancies beating me up in revenge I will be the guy in the full face coif - no, wait - I'll be the Dueagar Priest with the big white beard

Huge thanks to all involved for a great event.

Fine weather, excellent crew, top food and fab company. What more could you ask for.

Special thanks to MBT for a clear and well planned brief that gave me clear and concise information whilst running 'Mr Shouty's tent of fun' or the monster base as it is otherwise known.

Also extra special thanks to Alex S for his help with the broken monster on Saturday night. Cheers mate you're a star.

On that note I hope Martin (no the other one) and Matt (no the other one) are on the mend after their injuries. Get well soon!

Congrats and best wishes to both Matt (yes, that one) and Jamie on their forthcoming nuptuals!

See you in August I suspect!

Rich.

Thanks to all.

The wonderful crew and fun players it made my life easy (OK Easier )
and to Pete Sutton for all his input pre both June and July's event.

Fav bits the look on the Noobs faces when the horde attacked the base one of horror, then one of big grin when they got stuck in with the party.

The final Mist Lord fight went as I had wanted it to phew!

and of course playing Ragamuffin Heartbreaker just to much fun to play

Slay you soon

Now I've recovered sufficiently to actually pick up the laptop and type I thought I add my thanks to the pile.

To MBT - another sterling event looking forward to many more in the future

To the Monsters - for using me as a bell all weekend and seeming to be having far to much fun at it.

To the Party - for sticking together and never losing that fighting spirit no matter how warm it was getting.

To Martin Wise - for killing me twice in the space of 4 minutes. . . git.

I had an excellent event, a properly good first outing for the new face of the Order on Orin Rakatha (thanks to whoever muttered "I can see why the king left that nutter here" behind my back on the Saturday evening, that gave me warm fuzzy feeling) looking forward to more crusading in the future once I have built up the energy to put the armour back on!

Fave Bits:

* "For St Michael and the King" a good charge never goes amiss.
* Getting a fully fledged evil knight show up and put both of us back in our place sharpish, nice work Mr Heron
* Layla's "happy face of the Knights Martial" resulting in the quickest conversion from the Fell Knights ever!
* The fight on the sand having the torches lighting the hill was very atmospheric. . although running constantly away from Buckley was not only knackering but completely against my Idiom! heh heh
* The Dogs for being the keenest bunch of scouts seen out in a long time and for calling Kylar "Alpha" dunno why it just gave me a smile.
* The big hordling fight at the base with both parties involved was also great fun. Seeing the enthusiasm of the stag party was very encouraging

I am bound to have missed loads as usual but thanks to everyone and looking forward to another fun event in August. Clocking up a good year so far

Shaun.

Below email I received from the Stag do lot

Hi Mark,

The weekend was FANTASTIC! exceeded all expectations, everyone had a really good time.
sorry we weren't about for a better goodbye on the sunday, i think we were all a little worse for wear.
I think the event was really, really well run, and everyone we met were welcoming and understanding,
i dont think it is the last time you will see some of our bunch, thanks again.
could you also pass on our thanks to rob, he was a really great guide and a really good bloke, and we enjoyed drinking with him round our campfire too, also, thanks to all the monsters that participated in our games, they were fantastic.

thanks for everything, perhaps we will meet on the battlefield in the future.
all the best,
chris and the rabble
