The link on Jordan's post suggests he might be a spambot. Happy to be proved wrong though!

ok its basically like you get people who put net sites they want you to visit ie:- porn, sales, bugs, etc etc. well instead of the people having to do it they have the knowledge to create computer programs that imput information relevant to the topic and leave their link on there and create profiles on the forums like this one.

they're a constant pain boring us but hey ho.

Hi Zebigbos,
There will definitely be equipment to borrow available- sword shield etc.
It is unlikely there will be stuff for sale though there are plenty of retailers online- a sword may cost £50-100.
It's probably best if you try to put costume together yourself though we could provide that as well if you needed.
cheers
George

You will get an opportunity to discuss costume and equipment with variuos people who will be more than willing to offer advice. You will also get to see the sort of things that others wear.

Whilst we can offer assistance on some items (like robe to go over a base layer, a suitable tabard, hood, and weapon/shield) it would be useful to get your own "base layers" as George has said. If you are able to get some of these items yourself, thats great but not a necessity.

Base layers are fairly easy to get and shouldnt be too expensive, indeed you may even have them already. You will need a pair of sturdy walking boots (preferably plain - black, grey, brown), walking socks, some warm comfortable trousers and long sleeved top (again ideally should be plain - black or brown), a brown or black leather belt to go round your robe and tabard and hang a sword from and some gloves to keep your hands warm and protected. The key thing is to try and get plain non branded items (such as NIKE trainers), as this isnt very medieval .

Have a look at the LARP costume tab and kit requirements for more direction.

But just to be clear, don't worry too much about this for your first event, I am sure that we can assist if requried - the most important thing is to enjoy yourself.
