Hey I’m thinking about starting to play this, and I’m going to make my own padded armor but I was wondering is camouflage allow and if so is simple patters better?
Here are some pics of the fabric I was thinking about

While Camo isn't dis-allowed explicitly I would recommend against it. Heroquest is (primarily) a high fantasy/Medieval setting so printed fabrics tend to stick out a bit.

For a padded Jack (which I what I assume you mean by armour) stick to something neutral (Black, Grey or Brown) and you'll find not only does it fit this setting better but you also have a bit of kit that can be used on other characters (under a breastplate or just when it's bloody cold and you need a nice toasty layer) or in other systems (who might disallow camo) much more easily.

Now I'm just a player so this is only an opinion and I hope to see you on an event soon whatever cossie you go for!

Cheers

if you are planning on a sneaky character who u may want to stay out of sight till you launch an opportune attack and be high fantasy try browns and dark or neutral green. they work excellent together and break up your colour, those kinds of colours would be cheap in medieval times. if you look into the times, cheap wools would of been red green black and white been cheapest due to no dyes needed.
