Are we all seeing the dreadlords arrival on orin rakatha and his life to where he is today being played out in our dreams perchance?
Itd be interesting to see how these dreams all play out.

So far, it would appear so.

Sorcerer Harlequin and I have both been privy to many, many false visions of the Dreadlord over the years, courtesy of Lord Snarlow (who is now dead). In fact, our lives and paths have been marked by them.

Even though those visions showed lies mixed in with the truth, even though they were witnessed and spoken of only amongst a very few, they nevertheless had a very considerable impact upon the Alliance, particularly over the leadership of Wolfhold.

As such, it is best to be cautious where visions are concerned, and to understand the motivations of the entity behind sending them, although this can sometimes be hard to ascertain.

While I have not seen anything yet that differs from my knowledge of the Dreadlord's history, it is interesting to hear the perspectives and ideas about them from those who are not familiar with it, such as yourself and Vallan.

This is because it is easy for people to see what they choose to see, and be influenced by prior knowledge. Hence, a fresh pair of eyes can sometimes be valuable.

I would agree with the consensus that this depicts Sir Thoran, who ventured with my old group The Vanguard and now serves as Marshall of the Fell Knights and Adjutant to Sir Clavados. Additionally, given the storm/lightning connection, the vision seems to hint that the ankh-wearer was potentially responsible for the Dreadlord's initial disappearance from the plane.

I know this may seem an obvious question but do we have at our disposal a means of contacting the Dreadlord and asking his views on the subject? Might it not even be something of his own doing or at least related to his current activities? Or do those who profess to harbour more knowledge on the subject deem it unnecessary?

I deeply regret that I am unlikely to be able to attend the Concillium's grand experiment. I'm sure it will be fascinating and life threatening in equal measure.

So it ain't just me then. I also had one about a black and red throne with some old geezer on it (nice heavy looking gold crown might be worth a gest or too though). There was another weasel type bloke 'n all.

Then the prince (given that he called a king "father" I am surmising here) got told to find his brother and the weasel bloke gloated.

Now much as the dreadlord is a fine upstanding figure and all that I needs my beauty sleep so if we can work out how to stop these 'ere visions lets crack to it!

So - it seems I'm not going to get any sleep for some time! In addition to illness forcing me to stay in the tower for now, these dreams just keep on coming! Or are they just my mind continuing things based on reports I've read?

A few days ago there was one where Storm came towards me with a whole group of people - some seemed vaguely familiar but I can't say I know who they were, although am confident they were with us!

Now last night (and this is where I'm wondering if past reports have my mind making up stuff now) I'm one of many clustered around him, and when I get to him, I'm given a Pawn!

Please tell me that I'm the only one to have had these last extra dreams - at least then I know I'm going mad and can seek help. If however others have seen the same or similar - what do you think? The last game was ages ago wasn't it - I've read about it and met a couple who were there but.....

Im afraid driedyn you are not the only one having these dreams as I too have had similar dreams.
Im afraid im not too sure as to what these games are. If someone could enlighten me id be exceptionally greatful.
And what part do the pawns play? I do kno of someone who Carries a black pawn.
Is this significant?

From what I've read Maggot it's been around for some time, but was corrupted by this chaos bloke you speak of!

One thing I may not have mentioned is the pawn I dreamt of being given - was black. Makes sense given what's going on and makes it more likely it's not just fevered imagination or a group hallucination but... Getting a bit worrying!

Oh and on a more cheery note Ksandra, I can't say what the role of a pawn is in The Game, but in it's more mundane version, most pawns..... Die often as a result of deliberate sacrifice by their controller! Hope that makes you feel better!
