Here's an idea for the site,

For each character the owner can select their primary guild and add some descriptive text that you'd share with the world.

Then on the guild page (at the bottom) list all the primary guild members (split by guild level as we already have character points available) with a link to a page for that character. It could, if they have one, show their forum avatar.

Sounds fiddly as the guild pages are on the standard article templates and this would require some custom functionality. It's best to keep the guild pages on the standard templates so that people can edit them easily.

However, it would be technically fairly straightforward to build some standalone pages which just had the information you suggested above on though, and then perhaps link to them from the guild pages. Quite a few people have already filled in which their primary guild is on the character information pages.

Mind you, would then require a PHP developer

I've mentioned this a couple times in the past, but a wiki seems like the most obvious solution a lot of the IC publishing needs. Library, Bios, reports could all be published by the user.

I know one was setup in the past but not used, does it still exist? What's peoples opinion of a wiki's suitability?

The answer to your question is yes the wiki is still in existence, which shows how well it went down
Don't ask me for the URL though, I didn't have anything to do with it.
I could be wrong but seem to recall it just ended up with a debate about rules (yawn), which wasn't the idea I had in mind when Seb created it.

I don't see the problem with report/library publishing at the moment however. If you send it to me and not Paul then it will be on the website usually within the day (generally quicker), this year at any rate.

Bios - do we want these published? It would be easy enough to create a new section of the website for character bios. But if there was only, like, 10, then I'm not sure how 'worth it' it is.

Also, if more people want 'edit' access to the webpages to publish stuff then IMO that would be great. Assuming you are capable of using a web browser and can understand the basics of something like Microsoft Word then you have the requisite skills. However whenever I've suggested people help out in the past, I've just noticed a deafening silence, otherwise known as "yeah, be nice if someone else did it".

Not to take away from the great job Bruce is doing in updating the current campaign plot
