Hi,

I tried emailing Paul this afternoon but both paul and admin at heroquest-larp.co.uk have failed.

Looking at the returned email, the mail domain has been blacklisted. At least I can send mail ok so I'm assuming that it's either the hq mail server or something in between.

Hi Mick

Is the IP address you reference (94.136.40.147) yours?

I tried emailing Paul and I haven't had any bounce.

The error message suggests to me that the HQ mail server thinks there's a problem with the IP you're sending from.

I remember I had blocked one of your IPs a year (in the web access file - nothing to do with email forwarding) or so ago as we were experiencing some hacking attempts that seemed to be coming from it... wonder if it may be related?

Hi,

Just for completeness my router ip is (currently) 92.19.208.218 so it's not me per-se.

The blocked ips (94.136.40.146 and 94.136.40.147) are registered to webfusion who coincidentally are the same owners as the mail server for my email provider (123reg) so I reckon it's their problem.

Spamcop suggests that it'll be unblocked by tomorrow so I'll try again then.

That makes sense - I imagine someone has been mis-using your host's services!

Hopefully it'll be restored tomorrow - let us know

Managed to send my email to Paul, no problems.

just to follow up, Paul received the test email I sent him yesterday afternoon so I think definitely points the issue to a webfusion server being on the blocked list
