I'd just like to say a big thank you to Fraser, Sarah & Neil for stepping in to cover for me

Also a big thanks to the ever changing monster crew for a very happy monster base & the monsters were well up for doing the game

hope the last 2 days went OK

Cheers

I would like to thank all the refs, players and fellow monsters for a superb long weekend. It was really good to see some old faces that I'd not seen for some years.
It was a shame that I had to leave on the Monday as work wouldn't let me take the tuesday off. I hope it went well and the party were able to complete and win the game.

Highlights.

3 fights on the beach and been 'broken' afterwards.
Hero Nathan and the goblin encounter and the 'pictures' that were produced by the party.
Taking over the white ref role all be it for a short time.
Playing the game as the black side. There were some really intense discussions in the monster camp about moves and tactics etc.
Hoss and the huge amount of beer provided, for me the arrow shots were fine.

Would love to know the final outcome if someone could fill me in on what happened after I left.

Many thanks to all

Mark.

Just to echo what's already been said, this was a really enjoyable game to monster and I had a really good time. Great to see so many people I've not seen for a while.

I would also like to thank Pete, Fraser, Neil and Sarah for running a very enjoyable event.

Great monsters, fab party, immersive plot and some really good moments. Absolutely loved the Goblin stuff and look forward to any future developments.

Thanks all for a great time - off to bed now to recover.

I would also like to add my thanks to everyone who contributed to an enjoyable dungeon: all our wonderful monsters and obviously my co-refs Fraser, Neil and Pete - I know that Pete put an absolutely immense effort into the event before it started (with its 80 NPCs, all of whom had their own briefings).

Some favourite moments:

* The drawings of Nathan for the goblin nation by Lei Fung and Woolf (I think!) - worryingly imaginative I am curious to see the whole calendar now
* 10 Fingers the trader getting Nathan to "sign documents" before whipping out several pictures of said Hero and asking him to make it out "To my biggest fan" etc - priceless articles now!
* The dancing in the Time Stop while I counted out 30 seconds between players entering the Tombs - Myrtle, Shard and Spark had me grinning but it was Toshiro that broke me, absolutely hilarious!
* Party destroying Otion "Nasty" Wraithchild, hooray!
* Quicksilver finding out what happens when one binds oneself to the Plane of Shadows while hosting the Avatar of Light
* Blinging Seb up for the House Arduval drow
* The playing out of the chess game, and the final chess game move
* The feebleminded Morfeaglin Sorcerer doing a "victory dance" (having killed Nathan) who was then jobbed by the party
* Myrtle's "what's that expression when you mean everyone except the person around you? Ah right. The problem with Wolfhold - present company included - is..."
* The bit with Simian at the end including Scary "You better not be lying" Spark, Angry "Woolf not Wolfhold justice" Woolf and Simian pathetically grabbing my boot as his last vestige of hope after I weaknessed him to the floor. Nice one Seb!
* Hearing that the party were trying to summon Apep to 'close' the Chaos Portal, and sending in Alex Searby's Valdurim assassin to sort them out. I particularly liked his line "My High Priest is watching you up there and he is appalled!" I wouldn't want to be a failing pupil in his class
* The debate at the post-dungeon party on who had managed to annoy Velteyn the most. Despite some very strong contenders I think the one who met him first could manage to claim victory on this...

I fully agree with the above comments. A great event, thanks to an excellent job by ref, monster and catering crews. Also thanks to fellow party members for some intense discussion and light hearted banter.

Some fav moments:

* Being in the splinter group of mostly warriors and actually getting stuff done via the direct approach for a change.

* The epic, multi-battleboard fight at the ritual site near the beach was awesome. I ran out of pretty much every resource I had and was shattered at the end. Great stuff.

* Very pleasing to finally get to deal to #10, a.k.a. Simian, not once but half a dozen times! Happy days.

Quote of the event: "Never mind Wolfhold justice, here's some Wolf justice!" <smack><smack><smack>

See some of you in 9 days time.

L8R,
Adam.

Yep, great fun and everything I'd hoped for. Was truly terrifying in places, and some great politics alongside the combats, both in party and with npcs.

Whilst the combats were quite harsh, I rarely felt entirely useless despite being on half the xp of the next lowest level member of the party, which I think largely comes down to good reffing and monstering as well as certain of the party making sure that the less powerful power users were well topped up.

Highlights:

The shark god fight, which really made me go "wow, they really meant it when they said high death count"

Discussions with the traders and associates as they each tried to persuade me to their point of view of things.

Working on the puzzles in the tomb with Deb and managing to get them finished before the fighting was over in some cases!

The huge IC arguments before the final ritual, and the stunning roleplay as people clashed.

The post ritual meal and chats - the IC wake and watching Randolphin getting more and more terrified as Harlequin explained his guild leader's attitude to him, then the OOC froth and getting to spend a decent amount of time chatting to people as themselves, something there's not generally time for on shorter events.

So thanks to party, monsters and especially refs for a brilliant event, and I guess I'll see a lot of you next friday

Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone involved, party and players all for an awesome event! (mostly since i actually lost my voice on the last day from screaming vocals at otion 'payback for my leg' wraithchild)

Just looking forward to shards first encounter with the goblins now (hahahaha lol)

Highlights-

The ritual fight and being in the safe bit watching total carnage occuring outside!!

Myrtle the slayer!

The roleplay on the final ritual was amazing, and spark scaring the holy hell out of simian

The charging wendigo possessed, genuinely nerve-wracking there!
