Well, having mostly recovered from the week, it's time to say thanks to everybody.

Firstly, a huge thank you to our refs Mike, Bruce, Jem and Nick for herding the cats and for giving me a vigorous beating with the plot stick, great stuff guys!

And thanks to the excellent monster crew which included a couple of first timers, you all did extremely well and seemed to enjoy it all so congratz.

And of course our lovely catering ladies for doing a great job keeping us fuelled up for fighting horrible beasties.

It was great to meet some more of the long-time players who aren't around as much these days. The party over all was great, good atmosphere and fun people.

Fav moments:

- My "soap box" moment before the ritual. I'd like to thank the academy...
- The maim I got on the healer at the back of the last fight that I spent ages lurking to set up. My best one so far I think.
- Being tended by BJ and having the Balrog wander over, lean over me and say "Mmm, a youngling, they make good eating" and wondering which of my limbs it was going to pull off and consume. Scary stuff.
- The look on Giles' face as Edvaard explained what some of the stuff in his bag of tricks did. It's all useful. Honest.
- The Warmaster's wargaming table; a clever little in-character mechanic for both players and refs to organise what was going to happen.

That's enough frothing for now. See you in August.

L8R,
Adam.

I too had a great time some great role play moments some huge faux pas as well.
Dropping Giles in it with Sky telling Daneclaw that I had killed him previously.
Think PArty made some dodgy decisions concerning our allies but it all made for some great roleplay and some great fights.
On the whole a bloody good event.

Me and sky muttering shut up scum and get on the slab while MAggot was having his soap box moment still makes me grin.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Yes we have some new talent in the monster base, they all did very well! Although i did seem to take allot of Cause Mortal 8s...

I enjoyed playing the Messenger, i arrived to find the Balrog had arranged the players in neat piles around the place, only about 3 were standing up, so I Terrored Giles and TODed Sky sorry boys! Delta thought about it for about 5 seconds after he YA'd the Maim, but even he didn't fancy it on his own!

I also enjoyed being the Baron at the end "Mass disenchant 8" anyone?
In fact spears were great fun all round, especially seeing how long Wolf would last as 3 of us poked him whilst he held the door. Its amazing how some sproggy Sept monsters can have you on the back foot if they catch u off guard

a briliant event

the monsters all roleplayed their effects well and all the combats were excellent

i do love candleston - any other site we have ever been to would have been awful with all the rain that we had

fave moments

the second balrog fight, all of it, even though I died.

the corsair of umbar - "what makes you think you can stop us entering the building"
giles - "we are harder than you are!"

being part of the monster reinforcements in the 1st balrog fight

using stoneforms and finding out the only monsters not using blunt were doing cause mortal through their swords!

being waited on in character for every meal for the entire event

thanks refs monsters and fellow party members
