Want to really thank the great monster crew and ref team for giving us a superb weekend!

Also the party who were very pleasant to adventure with, and the smaller group who went with me and had some very effective fights together.

Obviously from my point of view there was a lot of great plot!!! So glad we didn't have any raving anti-chaos maniacs with us

Some memorable moments, not mentioning the 'wonderful' timing of the arrival of the two Patriarchs, from a personal recollection:

Wolfhold Recruitment Due Diligence.
- "So, in a hypothetical situation, you need to obtain an item from a child, that requires the death of this small, innocent child to do so. What do you do?"
- "Is there anyone around?"
- "You're in."

Drow Recruitment Conversations.
- "So you're saying either I join your House or die?"
- "If you wish to look at it that way"
- "Well... yes, then."

Dubious Claims Conversations.
- "...and I'm a Kingsman."
- "Which/Witch King?"

The Chorien's snide comments from time-to-time.

Neil's drow pointing at Thralk: "What's that?"

Nearly being killed by status blows on more than one occasion.

The Patriarch's way of getting everyone around him to show him respect.

Aruna's "funny" ideas with what to do with the scythe-of-death while feeble-minded and bound to the floor.

The new Valley entertainment game, not coming to a tavern near you, known as "Pass the Scythe", need I say more...?!

hello all.

thank you to everyone for a start off, it was great to see everyone and meet some new very interesting characters to leitha. thanks to the monster crew for some superb battles and good npc stuff. thanks to coreena for the brilliant food. thanks to the refs for some great gaming it was all great.

my memorable moments:

Last battle of the game, the agoth been spotted and that natural reaction to neil i think i can say for most in the low status group that was a big "oh nuts" then to have the chorien come along after was a real scare.

the scythe been picked up by pathfinder when gutrot mentioned a game of pass the sythe. everyone tried to stop him but too late lol.

the mission on the last night to take down the leader, the ambush was brilliant and unexpected real challenge lucky we had a good healer.

the choriens real sadistic ideas were a laugh. a great time in all

thank you all.

I would like to thank all the refs, monsters, players and 'cooky' for a superb weekend.

Fav bits.

The invention of 'pass the scythe', one of gutrot's better ideas!

Converstions about food and drink.

Sitting in on the 'drow business' on the first night and actually understanding it for a change, then asking if I could join a house (wish I could of seen bruce's face when I asked that question).

Thanks all

Mark.

Awesome time, loved every minute of it. Thanks to the hard work of the monsters doing double fights.

Favs:
the name calling at the bottom of the dune with the axians

the ghast NOT chewing my arm off, cos stone tastes icky

the eight man chorous, 'we declare ourselves hallowed of agoth' oh dear this is going to go well. and then beating Neil up after he had been disarmed. The swine had greater cursed me, I was going nowhere near him when he was armed then...

Least fav: Fear, run, no-one saw me run, so I missed the uruks. I hate fear, they're littler than me, I am not afraid!!!!! Either that or I am too thick to be afraid...

Seriously though, thanks guys, both the party and monsters, refs and cook, you all made this event brill.

A wonderful weekend. Great plot, good food, excellent monsters. Other players were OK, too.

Regrets:

Ignorant, narrow-minded, rude drow did not choose to visit while Aruna had the scythe. Would have cut them down to size !!

Good points :

Brilliant moonlight on Friday. Very atmospheric !

Party working together, especially on Saturday.

Only falling over in the last encounter.

The beeoootiful stew on Saturday evening.

Looking forward to October.

Thanks for the publicity for the new book, Lady K.

I have to agree, a great event. Many thanks to refs, monsters and "cookie" for the tireless efforts. (the stew rocked!)

Fav moment:

Thralk goes off scouting, reports seeing lizardmen and goes to have a closer look.
I casually say "He should be careful he doesn't get blinded"
We hear "Aargh!" from off in the distance.
"He's been blinded then..."
"He'll learn."

Thanks again all, see some of you on "Death-Quest" in October.

L8R,
Adam.

Such a great event, although my mother isnt happy because its convinced me to try and get the money together to come on the February dungeon and sign up to monster Bruce's HQ!

Fave Bits:

Being blinded, attempting to run away, hitting a tree.

Gettin caught for the first time, by Seb, to get hit by an Endurance 5 and a walk on air.

Swapping from the highstatus group to the nostatus group, and realising the monsters blows were doing nothing to me.

Throatslitting the priest on saturday night... then foolishly going in for more..

And of course, when the Baron turned up, and people found out exactly how fast I could run.

great to see people enjoying the adventure weekends

I am hoping that we now have the mix of events correct and that the 3 hqs 4 adventure weekends and 5 specials will always be the mix for the year.
