Aftermath 8 Years ago Karma: 26
Wanted to say thanks to all the groovy monsters on the last dungeon, and to Pete & Fraser who let me switch over and play

Thought Pat was a quality player-ref, good to see him for the first time in years!

Party were good fun to be with, enjoyed the roleplaying, even tho I was just there for a day!

Best moment was Giles standing up to the Shadowsfall Judge. "Tell me what law I am breaking..."

Years? Really? I was on Pete's HQ in May and I'm sure I at least turned up on one other event this year in a random fashion. Years indeed.

Great fun had by all. Giles was particularly amusing as he spiralled into a pit of confusion and indecision - it's tough at the top.

Shadowsfall Judge to Giles: "I'm sure you will have a long and accomplished life".
Giles to Judge: "Longer than yours that's for sure..."

I also learned 145 new and disgusting euphamisms for all kinds of deviant activities - Cheers Rasc/JB.

How did it all pan out in the end?

I had to go at 5.30 but I was wondering what I missed?

yeah thanks guys and gals
really good seeing the YMCA skirmish tactic making a comeback...
Fav parts? dunno really, I think Rukk falling over the top of the healer was one of the best tank moments I've seen in ages.
Many thanks to the refs for letting me play my two fav monsters, really rubbish zombies and really irritating goblins...
Thanks folks, see y'all next year.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for coming along and bringing Hayley too - hope your knee is less inflamed now.

You missed the party being repeatedly beaten up by the monsters, probably the most dramatic fight was where over half the party were lierally pretending to be paralysed after some Evil (with a capital E.) Dymwan necromancers attacked the building.

The Kalid Crimson feast with their werewolf really did us over too - first they ran off with the bag of chalices (chalux/chalii/chalisiuses/cups) that we had spent all that time collecting but eventually the party got it back in the end.

Then there was a tense stand-off between the party and the Shadowsfall, they could have killed us all in seconds at that point, but Giles was having none of being pushed around!

p.s. there are quite a few low level events next year, starting with the Jan 70hr special but you might want to consider playing on an adventure weekend which are usually more chilled out in terms of pace and have shorter overlands (thinking of your knee too) and might appeal to your cousin - new players get their first event half price I believe!

The knees not too bad just needed some ibuprofen and some ice packs.

I might do the January event but it depends on my accountancy course dates.

Its a shame that I missed the big bust ups, I was especially looking forward to the warewolves bits!

Thanks to Pete and his fellow refs for a bewildering and interesting plot. Thanks to the monsters for giving us some serious kickings as well as amusement (thanks for the throat slits Fraser ). Food was fantastic as always, yay the cooks! And thanks to the party for being fun to be around despite being like a clutter of cats in combat.
(yes I had to look that collective noun up )

A few favourites:
* Murdering my way through the procession of wraiths after fighting crappy elementals all day. (someone suggested kill markings on my shield)
* Wraith and I's amusing escapade with the Box of Doom TM. We were both giggling like children as we got more and more debilitated.
* Lying through my teeth to the Judge then breaking Giles out of his med so I didn't have to deal with the problem myself and the amusing face-off that followed.
* The look on everyone's face when one of the Ashnarsi dropped Vetzlar. A true "What the hell just happened???" moment.

L8R,
Adam.

Hey everyone. I was the film crew director this weekend and i would just like to thank everybody on behalf of the crew for a fantastic weekend. We felt incredibly welcome, everyone was lovely, the food was excellent and we really enjoyed the whole experience. We keep talking about how much we are already missing the weekend, and we hope to attend again at some point, without the camera kit this time
A big thanks to Mark for letting us have the opportunity in the first place and for sorting us out a room. Also a great interviewee.
Thanks to everyone who took time out of their weekend to help us with interviews and guide us through the role-playing. A very special thankyou to Micheal who spent a lot of time with us, you're a stand-up bloke. We will try to keep you all updated with the films progress and we hope to do you all justice by making something great
Good luck to you all with future events and we hope to see you again.
Cheers from Liam, Sarah, Ozzy, Adam and Ryan

Hey Liam

Nice to meet you and the gang - I hope you do return for more fun, be it monstering or playing!

I liked the way you got on quietly with your filming and personally found it very unobtrusive, which I'm sure has to be good

Now I am very curious to see the end product!! Do let us know if/when there's something we can go and watch
