thanks for a fun event, it was nice to get back to low level after quite a while.

The party were a great group, and thanks to the monsters & refs too.

Seb. the 3rd Warrior should have put Fraser and myself in our place after our conversation over diner.

Yeah... I know, but tbh I was too amused at the time and forgot afterwards! I hate playing Drow! So much stuff to remember and so much posturing!

Thanks to everybody for a fun event!

Cheers to Pete, Pat, Sarah, all the Monsters and of course the rest of the party for an absolutely stonking event from start to finish.

High Points:
* Schlop, Table Schlop and Travel Schlop. Who would have known the duergar were such keen sportsmen.

* Arguing comparative morality around the use and purpose of torture.
- "but if you torture people you just get the answers you want and not the truth"
- "Good, we aren't actually that interested in the truth we just need a scapegoat"

* Diplomatic incidents arising from cultural schisms (or alternatively kicking the splitters heads in regardless of which house they were hiding in these days).

* Cave Nancys, so many cave nancys.

* The Hut Incident. Never have so many been piled in such a small space by so few.

* Nix chasing Kylar up a tree at the behest of the Chaos Jester.

* Brieus Nil Lubricadum

There were just so many excellent moments it's a struggle to list them all.

Roll on the next one!

I had so much fun that it must be illegal!!!!

Many thanks to the refs, players, monsters and cooks.

Highlights from the weekend.

The invention of the game of 'shlop'

The whole 'long pig and apple sauce' thing

The greyspire motto

The various attempts trying to loot the hut.

many many more

BRIE IS NOT A LUBRICANT!

much fun indeed.

Lots of plotting,

noisey Duegar

Schlop

chaos jester tomfoolery

atmospheric wondering around the woods looking for drow assasins.

its hard keeping a straight face with a that going on.

Great start to the year - thanks Pete, Pat and all the dedicated monsters who put in a showing (be it for a few hours or the entire event) - we couldn't have managed without you!

A fun party to be with, if a little loud and raucous at times

Really dug all the excellent costumes too - hopefully we've got some good pics

My favourite moments included -

- party trying and failing repeatedly to rob the drow sorcerer's lab - wondered how many would keep trying to use their own names to get in! only took 5 people to get immobilised first, one-by-one!!

- chaos jesterling appearing just after Kylar had been fiddling with the items of naughtiness, a drow-and-druid wheelbarrow race, Ivak oinking like a pig, and the "aggressive dog" chasing the "cat" up the tree.

- the mist providing an eerie feel to the wooded graveyard

- the duergars insulting the "exiles"

- every time someone got a drow house name wrong, particularly Pat B and the afore-mentioned sorcerer's lab.

- Seb's drow assassin menacing the party from a distance, good work that monster!

I'm sure Snowflake is sobbing over the loss of its beloved igloo right now....

I'd also like to say thanks particularly to the newer monsters who had to deal with Nancy shenanigans and plot.

A great party - it made for some interesting moments when we weren't all pulling in the same direction - also a great mix of humour, tension, scariness and all that good stuff...

Can't wait for the next one in a couple of - can anyone lend me 5 gests?

Fave bits? What everyone else said! (a bit busy at work today )
