Hello all.

want to say a huge huge thanks to all for an incredible weekend of action packed adventure.

Special thanks goes to the refs and player refs who made it possible and so great in plot and keeping the bb. coreena for the food which kept us fighting strong and was really beautiful. the monsters who took a lot of beating and gave us a real challenge and last but by no means least the other players who without i couldn't of had such great roleplaying experiences thank you all.

Fav bits:

the part where we went after the khalid, when Layla was trying to negotiate before kelvin comes in "Mass Flash" and the party stormed into a full melee of sweaty bodies and full furious scraping.

the incident with the shadowsfall, plus the embarrissing bit of thinking the thrown was the actual ark hehe.

the shock announcements which gave a real incling into all characters

the great roleplaying with all my fellow players.

look forward to seeing you all on hf or hq.

Wotcha!
usual thanks to refs, monsters, cook and parties.
You guys all made this a great event. Slag was not happy about a lot of stuff, but it was great to play him being grumpy (which I have heard being spoken of as 'role-playing'. Loads of great fights, lots of tolerant and good humoured monsters, and some very sticky situations.

I just have one thing to say, if anyone wants to call the bloodwind again, then you can do it without my help unless it is a direct goal of the event. Slag was convinced it was clearly a case of 'tease the drow with a shiny red button, ask her not to press it'.

oh yes, why, if it is Giles' tower do we have to give it away? *Light's touch paper, runs..... *

My thanks to Paul for stepping up at the last minute and holding the event together, Rich for stepping up at the last minute as player ref (he took my job!) and Bruce for being there and adding his usual quality input

many thanks also to all the monsters as usual

but most of all thanks to the players for making the event work

lots of good points, virtually no bad ones (except being in the middle of putting my tent down when there was a shower!)

Cheers all

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was a pleasure to be part of this event.

Many thanks to the high spirits and good nature of both the monsters and the players, making it the success it was.

There was certainly a lot to talk about and to get stuck into; I was trying hard not to appear too smug during the "shocking announcements" honest guv

I look forward to seeing the fallout over the next few months.

I would like to thank the refs, monsters and cooks for all their hard work this weekend and those people who did lots of work in the run-up to make sure we had a decent event!

Thanks Fraser for dropping out of playing your overland to turn up as the Blood Oracle.

Favourite moments in chronological order
- giving Belem de Traverney a teabag. Well it had to be done didn't it.
- scouting with Caradac and not getting punched in the face this time
- the duergar challenging Lucy to a filth competition and them conceding after one round!!
- various rude drunken conversations as L
- one by one nodding off in the sun after lunch on Saturday... clearly rank related as me & Giles were last up before I hit the deck!
- the announcements on Saturday evening... yes, they were suitably shocking!! and chatting to Paullandiss too.
- promotion
- Giles saying to the smug Blood Oracle "can you foresee all of our stupid questions and just give us the information now"
- Taking Pat B's pathfinder to task about his shoddy dress sense on Sunday morning
- Giles's impressions on Sunday
- charging the Powerhammer 6 drone with Giles
- Giles holding off the mistweaver on his own as the rest of us ran back to the building... suitably heroic

many thanks to all for a superb weekend.

Many, many best bits but those that spring to mind are the filth off with lucy, damn it she sucked her thumb so had to win!

All the purple boy conversations.

being given a perfect plot related 'out' to change from Gomeric to Gutrot.

Having a very nice friendly chat with the dreadlord.

Obtaining the title of 'master floor investigator' from the blood wind fight, 4 times in a single fight is unheard of!!!!!!!

thanks all

Mark.

And... I'm back.

Thanks to everyone who was there and a couple who weren't. Pat/Rachel - you were missed, hope to see you another time when things are improved.

Never a dull moment (except for the Senior Nap Time after lunch on Staurday - a well-judged pause). Great event, good company and plenty of food/beer to keep us going. All in all, a recipe for success.

Bruce, if you were trying not to look smug then some further practice is in order.

Special thanks to Rich Hale's left ear which underwent a lot of punishment on the way to/from the event.

Have to agree with that. I think if the Dreadlord had been grinning any wider he'd have to change his title to Cheshire Catlord.

Inconceivable amounts of thanks to the refs, crew and other players for an excellent event.
(I think Wales used up all it's rain on the last one...)

* Fav bits: Dropping Fraser in it not once, but twice, by asking him to repeat dodgy comments he'd made about high level characters just as they walked past. Credit due though as he ballsed his way through both situations with only a brief moment of panic. Nice for the boot to be on the other foot for a change.

* Really getting into my "accountant" role and managing to screw money out of several NPCs. Really enjoyed tormenting the auctioneer.
Speaking of which, that favour the Reader guy owes us won't be forgotten. It's all in the book!

* Absent mindedly wandering back to the yurts to put my spellbook away and looking up to see a large mob of angry Shadowsfall about thirty feet away. Feet do your work!

* Nobby's outrageous abuse of the Shadowsfall that somehow managed not to start a fight!

* The BIG meeting. Very intense.

* The amusing end of the event with some of us disappearing into the mists. Must have been interesting to see the look on the faces of the rest of the party when they realised I'd disappeared with all the money! Being enveloped by the mists is beginning to be a habit for Kelvin and may have just provided me with justification for my HQ ability.

See some of you in October!

L8R,
Adam.

Many thanks to all involved but especially the mid level party for being such a pleasure to ref for. Hat's off to you all.

Thoroughly enjoyed the intensity of Saturday night and the resulting debates. Grumpiness is indeed a fine and acceptable roleplaying option!

And yes Bruce, you were being a very smug bast*rd! But you do it so well!

Thanks Mike for your company on the journey also...at least you kept me awake!

P.S. Can someone send me some instructions so that I can upload photos to the site?
