Had a great time ......was very very enjoyable totally awesome messing around in the woods for 3 days

Although I have to say that is a massive understatement ....considering the effort put in by everybody.

Special thanks to ChiomaNri ……. Trying to make sure everyone has fun and enjoys themselves isn’t easy.

Best bit was the fight on the path even got me axe out !!!!!

p.s.

“Who defiles the Tomb of Blah Blah Blah”
Pretty sure 10 party members all shouting back NOBBY!
I even heard Ceth from the bushes
(Fanx Arrol for stickin up for me afterwards)

Pissing myself when I saw Mike bearing down on me and I putting my hands up and saying “I didn’t touch nuffin !!! “ POWER 5 POWER 5 POWER 5 ….UMPHHHH *#@$K

The final fight against the evil Dymwan Archaeologist was also very enjoyable (thanks to Nick for taking the Paralysis Venom like a man and not flanging some immunity ). Chiomas deadly magic missiles blowing Gomerics head off and the looping over the fence that landed directly on top of Crones head ("Magic Missile 5". "Oh Dear". Thump). We were still discovering paralysed party members for ages after the fight was "over" - including a most undignified Seth on all fours who had presumably been powerstealing from the Dymwan who rose as a Ghoul (either that or....it's too horrible to think about).

Thanks to Pat Burden for the Power Word Die - good chance to get out some last words and take the heat off Nobby after setting all the tomb guardians on him for a laugh.

Looking back I have to say that the quality of the combat encounters in particular was very high - the monsters changed their fighting styles depending on who they were playing (wild and brutal as the hordelings, organised and implacable as Xenos, cruel and sneaky as the Dymwan etc.) which made each fight feel different even where the stats may have been similar. Excellent work from everyone.

Brilliant party too - hope we can all get out as a group together again soon - with too many hilarious moments to pick any out. Best of luck to Phil, we'll miss John Barleycorn and his hands off leadership style, but don't worry we shall ensure we purge the woods of all furry beasties in your absence.

I want to meet a Majortaur.

Agreed, a really enjoyable event.

Poor Nobby, I did feel sorry for him. (well, a bit at least)
At least this event I wasn't the only one with morals, it's hard work being the token "good guy".

Most amusing moment: Bruce, playing Cold Cheese/Kozyor, snuck up behind Nobby who was clearing the traps after the first goblin bomber and yelled "Bang!" only to step on a trap himself and disable his leg. Fate was watching.

Scariest moment: When I was alone in the tomb (with Chioma's superbly manic ghost ranting away!) writing furiously and the Dymwan turned up. Then the two knights walked in. Then a Necro appeared in the door and Quiditty shooed him off vigourously. Then the Barrowwight appeared. Eek! Thankfully at that point Quiditty told me were getting out of there. These old legs of mine gained a new lease of life I can tell you!

Looking forward to the next few events, starting up my new frothing good guy. Can't wait. See you all soon.

L8R,
Adam.

Oh, BTW, I'm doing a writeup but my notes seem to be a bit sparse on the final encounter and aftermath.

What happened?

If you do wish to have your report vetted by his majesty, it may be best to discuss the aftermath of the final encounter in private messages If you don't (and that decision is totally up to you) then chat away.

Really nice to hear that you liked:
The detail in the incidental characters like the alchemist and the tomb robber. At least one monster/NPC had a full backstory that you didn't discover - it was written to only come out in a very specific set of circumstances!

I want to meet a Majortaur.I'll see what I can do
