by the grace of the earth mother may all be well.

I was leading the low status group on the last mission when we were asked to perform the ritual of the balancing of the four winds.

As part of our deal with the blood oracle and in keeping with the word of the tower and of my word and the word of other people of the kingdom of the valley. we promised to start a temple to the four winds which would have followers.

I would like to know what the progression of this is? I also wondered if you could help me with helping to make sure we stay in keeping with the balance. If Lord Giles is also available I would appreciate some imput on how we are supposed to honour the commitment made to the oracle as i was informed by the blood oracle you had also spoken to him.

PS: Yes this should of been done weeks ago, but please forgive i've had some rather pressing issues to try and get my head round.

Ah
That is a very good point Druid. we definately don't want to be upsetting no blood oracle or no more of them four winds.
We were lucky to escape with our lives during that ritual.

Leitha,

keeping your word and that of our people is as you have stated of great import.

I would humbly suggest that you first get a greater understanding of what the four winds are by trolling the archives for all information on them.

As I understand it they are a part of this place and in fact a whole tower once followed/worshiped them so there may well already be people somewhere related to that tower.

Personally I know nothing about them but setting up a temple seems to me not a simple matter.

kudos, pathfinder, ambassador to the royal court of llliation, High Speaker of the Dark Caves of llliation

i was told that another made the pledge first then myself to balance the four winds these winds work with the mystics under the great love of the earth mother. it is not me to go back on a pledge i made it in the name of the tower and the tower has recieved a boon for doing so. i ask that if lord giles could contact me so we can speak of what was said between the blood oracle and both ourselves.

it was my promise we'd help to make sure the winds had a temple with which they could be worshipped and kept the articles which could unbalance the winds.

heed the earth mother.

ok sorry i found a really good book on the life cycle of snakes.

right i would please like to know that i haven't been duped by the oracle of the blood wind, so i'd like to know what giles promised him.

I'd also like to know if we were supposed to build this temple in our tower or another as we lost two im sure it'll be a bit unfair to ask the council for a temple area for the four winds but we need one.

If you're talking about the oath that lord giles swore, I remember that being he wouldn't release another wind on Orin Rakatha, mainly because we'd have had our heads all been kicked in in the middle of the crazy tower otherwise. Think it was the Fire Wind who were demanding this.

This was after we met the Blood Oracle for the first time who went on about how he had foreseen that this would all come to pass yadda yadda pretentious nonsense. We didnt promise him anything that i recall altho he was going on about visiting him at his shrine.

Last time we met the Blood Oracle he was saying he wanted us to use the artefacts of the four winds to establish the temples. Unfortunately the price of the LoX fixing the rod of yugantir (north wind) was us giving the artefacts to the LoX for 'recycling'. The group promised the void engineer Demorides.

Why do ya think the blood oracle duped you?

oh Sh**e....

I've been duped once again.

He told me Giles had promised to raise a temple to the four winds in which people would worship them and help to keep them in balance. we made this promise under the words of the blood oracle who told me giles had promised the same thing. i thought as someone of higher standing than myself had made this promise following it seemed like a wise idea. but i was too trusting.

I couldn't think of a reason why the blood oracle would lie surely it were hard enough to give us a kicking it wouldn't bother to lie to us.

i thought i was doing the right thing for the valley. i promised we'd keep the ark of fire and the bits and pieces to keep to raise a sect who would help keep the winds in balance. i was not of the knowledge of all the facts and i had to make the best decision i could at the time.

Can you inform me as to what all the things he swore to do were so i can find out how much trouble i'm in.

Hey Leitha,

Ya sure it wasn't the Blood Oracle saying he had "foreseen" that Giles would help raise a Temple? That might mean one & the same thing to the Oracle.

Anyhoo I checked the archives in case my memory was dodgy. Turns out it wasn't, unless we all have collective forgetfulness. These two reports are about the time we got lost in the Tower of the 4 Winds where Giles & us met the Blood Oracle for the first time:

www.heroquest-larp.co.uk/whats-it-all-ab...ts/nobodys-home.html
www.heroquest-larp.co.uk/whats-it-all-ab...eport-by-maggot.html

Spingle says:
Concentrating on ‘The First’ allowed us to home in on the groups holding the chalices. The Laventer had a holy man (Lucy says: this is da Blood Oracle) who could interact with us who answered a few questions, implied that he had knowledge about the North Wind and said his body was ‘hidden away’ somewhere and could we wake him up. He gave us the ritual to do this and said it require a token blood sacrifice.

We later decided that there was no pressing need to pursue that course as having one unopposed wind loose was going to be bad enough without releasing another. The Corramoor later spoke with us and demanded that we not release him and we agreed it to be a bad plan. In fact I believe Lord Giles gave his word.

And Maggot says:
Amongst another group of blood wind is the Blood Oracle and he recognises us as not being memories. He tasks us with defeating his men to see if we are worthy of his assistance. We cut them down but he resurrects them to be slain once more. Having completed his test he tells us that the winds should oppose each other in pairs but that the Boreas has returned to Orin Rakatha unopposed. He says his physical form is sleeping at one of the shrines of the four winds and requests that we seek him out and awaken him. He tells us that the Sirocco disagreed with the Blood Wind’s ruling of exile upon the Boreas so they bound the Fire Wind into the Ark of Fire and carried at the head of a jihad in pursuit of the Boreas but were never seen again.

Upon our return to the building the Boreas (Lucy says: think Maggot has the Wind wrong anyway, but otherwise yep this happened) turn up and say they are concerned that we might release the Blood Wind Oracle to free another wind onto Orin Rakatha. We promise them that we will not release him, the thinking being that one unopposed wind causing problems on OR is enough.

So you can see Mr Blood Oracle was asking us to go to his shrine and wake him up, and we were like: meh.

Whereas some other Windy dude came in and demanded: do not release a Wind or I will chop you blocks off and Giles was like: yes, I give you my word.

Hope that clears things up.
