Trial of Malcolm Middleton 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 3
Greetings Brothers and Sisters of the valley Nation,

As a Humanitarian and Sorcerer i am planning on attending the trial of Malcolm Middleton in an attempt to see that justice is done.

I am however no specialist in the Laws of our nation or those of Orin Rakatha and wondered if there would be any specialists in Law attending, or indeed if any of those who re-wrote the laws after the cataclysm were attending?

Personally i feel that Justice would be best served if individuals of this nature were in attendance.

Malcolm was found guilty of theft by a tribunal of Commoners of our Nation.
I use the term commoner to mean, not adventurers or Lords but Builders, Farmers and Housewives.

The sentence has not been given as yet. Members of our adventuring group presented the evidence, such as it was, and i commend them for their efforts.

It was clear that the 2 laws we currently have for conduct within our nation do not suffice and the tribunal accepted this as part of their findings, in essence finding Malcolm Middleton of overstepping his authority but as the laws do not account for such a thing they were obliged in their minds to find him guilty of theft.

I sincerely hope that when it comes to the matter of sentencing the lack of law and indeed evidence or guidance as to the trial process is taken into account, and that before our nation undertakes another trial we have a comprehensive review of the laws, the process and indeed the power structures within our nation.

It is clear that a great deal has changed since the days of each tower dispensing its own kind of justice and it is crystal clear to me that we need a new system for the new times in which we now live.

May the light of life watch over you,
Cirith
