You only purchase the paper unless the item says 'scroll of ....'
So yes you have to learn the skill to write them.

Or you can find someone to write them for you - but they may have to be on the same event (and be able to write scrolls ofc).

I'm thinking some thought needs to go into this.

For scrolls you typically need to prepare the phys reps in advance and it's not always clear who on an event can write scrolls so what happens then?

Ichabod, has three pieces of scroll paper but is not able (yet) able to write anything on them so is totally reliant on begging the skills.

Personally, I don't think there should be a problem if someone wants a heal (for example) written on a scroll as the towers could easily arrange that and it benefits the party without upsetting the stats apple cart.

Perhaps a list of commonly available spells/invocations that anyone can get written. It would have to be pretty small.

Cheers,
Mick.

I reckon if someone needs to write the scroll for you on an event then they will have to actually write the scroll for you on the event. Preparation: a blank scroll paper and some ink

All scrolls are written prior to the event starting, they can no longer be written on the event. You can see who is on the event through the "who else has booked" section - put a post up asking.

Alternatively you can ask either Paul Matthews or the event ref what you want written on your scrolls and they may facilitate for you.

If its for Feb, Iain and me are the refs - so ask away....
