He was trapped in a place and he could only leave by gifting his connection to the sphere of nature, no one else was willing to receive it as it came with certain erm......restrictions. It changed me and i started to change into a pine brother. That change has gifted me certain abilities that are useful in my line of work.

hmm, i should imagine so the work of the cycle is one of great power. i can imagine it would help quite a bit you were very lucky. fools they were not to take it.

so is there any more information you wish

oh yes, he spoke to arbor alone, you may want to ask him, i would not suggest disturbing him though at the moment we are having a crisis in the forestal's what with the totems changing and going missing, rather disturbing. hope the owl stays.

no that has been most helpful though a word of advice from one who understands the cycle better than most.
Do not fixate yourself with only one element of the cycle (death) for doing so you will put yourself out of balance. NEVER revel in the death of others, it may be a necessity but never gloat, and the most important lesson, we will all complete our own cycles, nothing can stop that. If you remember that and show due caution you may yet grow stronger and understand more.

Nature is brutal
Only strongest, faster, most cunning survive
There always something stronger, so fast and cunning is best
Nothing wrong with killing, nothing wrong with enjoying chase
But clever hunter leaves few prey behind so numbers come back
Cleverest hunter eats what no-one else will
Most of all, nature hates waste
Eat from nose to tail, and all is forgiven
Eat your fill, drink deep,
For tomorrow the rains may fail for years
And again you may find yourself sucking troll-dung for moisture
Only most cunning left standing when desert blooms again
And water floods the wadi again
And the pack will laugh again under the moon

It is true, it is said

well done pack i mean running dog. good work, but one thing i hate to tell you, your in the forest. if you cant work out how to gain water in such a place. please tell me and i'll help you.

The forest belongs to those who serve her, the earth mother for we are her sentinels, her rangers, the druids and the wood elves and the creatures of the forest serve her will and forever protect her child the forests and the wilds. we do not take more than we need should i hunt, i hunt for food. should my enemy die he too shall i also provide nourishment to the land and to the cycle.

By the way i been meaning to ask now we're forestals where do we learn that skill those scouts seem to love you know the one they use to slit peoples throats. that looks a handy skill.

Nature is a song. That was one, short, verse. As for waste, I believe Nature loves waste, she adores it, she is profligate and never ending with her dispensations of life and death, growth and decay.
