Riots 6 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 6
I hope that everyone is well and that no-one has been unduly affected by the recent troubles in the major cities of the UK, particularly our London contingent.

Here is Gloucester our rioters seem to have got the wrong idea. 60 youths went on a 'rampage' last night and burned (a bit - I could see no damage this morning) an old college building that has been lying empty for 10 years. The town centre seemed tidier than usual when I walked to work this morning.

Civic minded rioters perhaps - maybe they can torch a couple of other empty Gloucester eyesores tonight and speed the regeneration process along a bit?

Stay Safe everyone - all the best.

I took the bus today through the allegedly "smoking ruins of South London" today and didn't see anything out of the ordinary save one florist who had boarded up their windows (but was still open according to the sign).

Having watched some of the footage of the riots I'm wondering if we can some of the police to come and do some monstering. With those round shields and a good swing with their truncheons I reckon they could be pretty handy.

We could charge them for it too and call it "Intensive Combat Simulation". Let's say £3,000 per weekend per officer and we give them a certificate at the end?

My dad used to be a riot officer - the miner strikes paid for our kitchen extension

He loved his one time at Peckforton, so you never know.....
(Well I say that - he didn't actually let me go back. Might have been all the "greesy weirdos" )

yes need to go back to the attitude of the miners strike when the police werent affraid to bash a few rioters. then they'd damn well run.

got to say easy thing to make some certificates. got to get them used to spells. lol but not so use to em they use em on the street they'd look a bit silly going

by the power of the law
and my police dog rover
i call upon the law
to aid me in justice
and win this day justice bolt.

lol
