Since i am usually the first one home i would like start the thanks off by directing them at MBT and Pete for doing a fine job reffing and reigning in the chaos and keeping it from overspilling into anarchy.
I would also like to thank george...the worlds politest lunatic...for one of the maddest, most amusing invocations i have come across to date...i laughed so much i was crying at one point. I wish you all the best with your 10 week old, your newfound views on breasts and in your own murmuring words "It was just....just beautiful"
I would also like to thank the throat-slitters for keeping us on our toes...i hate you all with a passion.
Nippy Mike who took an absolute kicking down by the pond...i didnt have chance to apologise to you but you honestly took it like a man...not a dog.
To all the un-named players who persecuted my left wrist unceaselessly throughout the event, congrats....it worked...i now have a 10 inch bruise going all the way up my arm lol. ouch.
To the new monster faces i met, you're a special bunch and even more reason why i wont be rolling a character anytime soon especially charlotte who played her role of moist rock girl very well and let me have a quick choke when matt wasn't looking. i'll bring the ball gag next time...improv bondage is great but remind me to let you know the safety word next time
Big thank you to Alex for catering, you weren't there at the debrief but your services and culinary skills are always appreciated.
Time to de-stink and unload the car. See you all in march.

hey all

Wanted to say some thank you's

as always to the valley chefs to alex for his delicous meals over the weekend thank you it always makes the game so much greater not having to worry about getting food and stuff that it makes the game so much greater.

To the refs thank you, it was great fun and the npc plots brilliant and left many oppotunities for us to find some more fun to be had.

To the monsters, the npc's were great and the fights spectacular, you all made it a really great event. thank you.

To my fellow players for all the roleplay and extra plots that cross over and make the game what it is and an incredible roleplay atmosphere.

Fav bits:

Malbobonaian fight for the lady of water.

arbor and kynon encounter/ chat. wow now that was an awesome 30 minutes of intrigue and surprise.

Cedderwens singing every time she cast, really made invoking quite a lot easier couldnt be bothered to talk for listening to the songs trying to work out what story it was followed by shaun and others singing shield wall.

Dymwan fights! oh yes leitha's back and his got a few little tricks up his sleeve lol.

End fight for the merchant power hammering khalid left right and centre.

Thanks to all

Mike.

Thanks all!!

I hardly ever monster, but after a weekend like this one, I now wonder why. I had a fantastic time, with a great crew, so thanks mostly to them for being such a laugh to hang round with.

Cheers to Alex for the food and the Pete and MBT for running such a tight ship and keeping us so well informed

Fave bits include playing both Greenwillow encounters (despite Sarah blindsiding me with plot I knew nothing about!! and getting beaten soundly as the skeleton 5 times on the trot. And I'm sure there will be a blue tinge to the air at the totem for some time to come following George (The Gentleman Loony)'s ritual. Inspired and hilarious!

Twas aces!! Cheers everyone! See you in May hopefully....
P

PS Special thanks to Shaun for removing a contact lens from virtually my brain on Friday too. Cheers Buddy!

i know we come off the event now, but can i still ask a plot question

"Did the dymwan know anything about the totem situation for the valley druids and if so was there any hope of beating it out of them?"

Well that was fun. Thanks to all for a great event. Food heart-warming and perfectly timed, monsters heart-warming and perfectly timed. My fellow players, you allowed me to play a powercaster for the first time ever, and didn't give me any grief, instead took my (sometimes) firm delivery of curing well.
I hope to get better at it soon.
My fav moments were

getting the vocals out for a cure fatal on Sasha

picking the worlds worst place for a med and invoke

the moistened bint fight

finally getting the open field fight style right against the Khalid on the second last fight of the event.

running intercepts to deliver touch courages to save on 1 power. I tihnk I did that enough to save enough power for two more cure mortals, so my tired legs are worth it.

My death : a charging unstoppable 20 stone belly slam 'TOD! sorry', followed by Sasha coming to see if I could be fixed, and then someone being driven backwards over the top of both of us, kicking me in the head and crushing Sasha's face. Insult then injury, perfectly timed.

And a special thank you to Shaun for wearing two cymbals, so everyone knew when he had received a cure.
Cheers All
(Except Steff..... )

I'd also like to give a massive thanks for the weekend!
Pete, thanks for reviving the Celtic plot and giving me so many personal dilemmas
Alex, the food was great!
Monster crew, you were awesome. Phil you can be a scary guy when you want, even if your name is as ridiculous as Trixie. And was it Charlotte who sat for 2 hours with her feet in the water? Respect!!
Ref crew, thanks for all your stuff behind the scenes that meant the event ran smoothly. And also giving us an extra 1/2 hr when I couldn't work out what to do.
Thanks to the party for listening patiently to my dilemma and gamely trying to help, your faith in Arbor is touching Sasha your counselling was great

Omg, Cynnon - noooooooo!!!! Battleboards won't be the same without everyone chiming in when your name is announced! And I'll miss adventuring with you. Nice to see Caiolte again!

Bad things on the event: hedgehog horror and the fear of being crushed by large armoured warriors backing in on all sides.

Fun moments included Shaun claiming that the version he knew of Barnacle Bill the sailorman was an innocent romantic tale of the love of William for a young maiden. "For St Michael… and the King!!" Obelisk not tolerating kill-stealing. The surprise of meeting a Tower leader.
