Visions from the Mystics 3 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 1
A couple of days ago all 4 Oracles saw visions from the Mystics.

Dreams of Shadows and I shared a vision from the Traveller.
Kiara and I shared a vision from the Black Pharaoh.
Shard and I shared a vision from the Green.

The visions we saw are as follows...

The Vision from the Black Pharaoh.

You drift into a restful sleep with a sense of knowing; the familiar guidance from the Mystics sent to you in your role as one of the Oracles.

You are hovering above the clouds and before you are two figures. The first is Kiara while the other is the tall imposing form of the Black Pharaoh. The Black Pharaoh reaches out and takes you both by the hand in an almost fatherly fashion and with a rush of air you plunge through the clouds and find yourself skimming swiftly across the surface of a green and vibrant land.

In the distance you see the light of the newly rising sun glinting from the surface of a broad lake that dips below the horizon, both your speed and altitude drop considerably as you come to a hover above a broad valley that contains three structures, towering spires of black, white and grey.

You watch as tiny figures scuttle back and forth between the structures gathering together in small groups before heading off in all directions and returning from the far edge of the world.

Over the course of a few moments you watch as first one tower and then another collapse into dust; the white spire collapses after a large number of figures in white leave never to return and the black spire collapses after a blue lightning bolt strikes the tower causing many to perish, apart from a small number of groups being protected by the Black Pharaoh.

The Black Pharaoh gestures and two versions of the world begin to unfold before your eyes.

In the first you watch the Pharaoh try to shield the Grey tower but it comes under attack by numerous forces gathering from towers across the plane. In a short time new towers rise in place of the White and Black and eventually the Grey falls into dust, the wind blows the remains away until a new tower rises from the ashes and the memory of the Black, Grey and White disappear from the land.

In the second you see the people of the Grey tower gather together and leave the tower to create a wider community dwelling outside of towers upon the land. Across the plane similar communities begin to rise. Time flashes forward and you watch the people of the Grey tower grow in strength and power while the Black Pharaoh shelters them with his power.

Your view switches again and you once again are hovering miles in the air above the land of Orin Rakatha but the Pharaoh is not with you. You can see points of light where you know towers to be, some a bright white others dim and faded. As you watch white lights begin to fade into dimness.

You hear a voice in your head “I do what needs to be done, the time of the towers is past”. . with that you awaken.

The Vision from the Traveller.

You drift into a restful sleep and with a sense of the familiar guidance from the Mystics sent to you in your role as one of the Oracles.

You are hovering above the clouds and before you are two figures. The first is Dreams of Shadows while the other is a figure in glowing white robes whose face is lost in a nimbus of light. The figure reaches out and takes your hand and holds Dreams with the other and with a rush of air you plunge through the clouds and find yourself skimming swiftly across the surface of a green and vibrant land.

Over the course of a few moments you watch as first one tower and then another collapse into dust; the white spire collapses after a large number of figures in white leave never to return and the black spire collapses after a blue lightning bolt strikes the tower, the Black Pharaoh observes in safety, protecting his personal favourites and gathering power to himself.

The white figure gestures and three versions of the world begin to unfold before your eyes.

In the first you watch the Grey tower begin to slow in its interaction with the world, less people are moving outside of the tower and what journeys are taken are brief and grow shorter in range. In a short time new towers rise in place of the White and Black and those the grey tower grow insular and as your gaze moves away you glimpse the brooding figure of the Black Pharaoh lurking behind them.

In the second you see the people of the Grey tower gather together and leave the tower to create a wider community dwelling outside of towers upon the land. Across the plane similar communities begin to rise. Time flashes forward and you watch the people of the Grey tower grow in strength and power at the cost of their morals. You see the Black Pharaoh sending groups of adventurers out into the world meddling in the affairs of others, tendrils of darkness tying their actions back the Black Pharaoh.

In the third you see the people of the Grey tower gather together and leave the tower to create a wider community dwelling outside of towers upon the land. Across the plane similar communities begin to rise. Time flashes forward and you watch the people of the Grey tower cast off the tendrils of darkness that link them to the Black Pharaoh. They go out into the world aiding those that need it and destroying those people who hold evil in their hearts. As you watch you are filled with the sense of purpose, to renew the land in a new form where people are free to walk the plane they live and not hide away. A plane of light and truth where the darkness will find no shadow to dwell in.

Your view switches again and you once again are hovering miles in the air above the land of Orin Rakatha but only Dreams of Shadows is with you. You can see points of light where you know towers to be, some a bright white others dim and faded. As you watch white lights begin to fade into dimness and a sense of rightness fills you tainted with concern that without the light to guide these people that evil will find the new world ripe for it’s corruption.

. . . you awaken again. . .

The Vision from the Green.

Feeling quite tired now with your very disturbed nights sleep. . .

You drift into a restful sleep and with a sense of the familiar guidance from the Mystics sent to you in your role as one of the Oracles.

You are hovering above the clouds and before you are two figures. The first is Shard Farsight while the other is a figure in green robes with a face constructed of plants and ancient wood. The figure reaches out and takes your hand and holds Shard with the other and with a rush of air you plunge through the clouds and find yourself skimming swiftly across the surface of a green and vibrant land but one that you can now see bears wounds and scars across it’s width

Over the course of a few moments you watch as first one tower and then another collapse into dust; the white spire collapses after a large number of figures in white abandon the plane never to return and the black spire collapses after a blue lightning bolt strikes the tower while the Black Pharaoh wages battle with those who would share in his power, tainting the land with conflict and strife.

The green robed figure gestures and three versions of the world begin to unfold before your eyes.

In the first you watch the Grey tower continue on the path they are taking. Groups of them meddle in the affairs of others and the plane. In a short time the White and Black towers find themselves the home of new people and those of the Grey rail against this incursion. The battles and conflicts rage on, years passing in moments as the land of the Valley becomes a charnel house of death and the very land itself is poisoned by the spells, invocations and carnage of war.

In the second you see the people of the Grey tower gather together and leave the tower to create a wider community dwelling outside of towers upon the land. Across the plane similar communities begin to rise. Time flashes forward and you see the peoples of the Grey tower begin to venture forth from their community meeting others and testing the borders of their neighbours. Conflicts arise over land, people and objects. Areas of the plane become armed camps protecting vital resources, or hoarding valuable excess. The people of the Grey tower meddle in all things some of their representatives aiding those who need it while others take opportunity in the chaos to grow their own power. As these conflicts continue you can feel the wounds of the land wide and the scars bring to crack into fresh cuts.

In the third you see the people of the Grey tower gather together and leave the tower to create a wider community dwelling outside of towers upon the land. Across the plane similar communities begin to rise. Time flashes forward and you watch the people of the Grey tower begin to venture forth from their territory to interact with the other communities and find peace with the others of the land. You see their groups arbitrating between those of different paths creating a time of calm for the land where it’s wounds suffered by the renewal can be over time heal. You see the forces of darkness and light in harmony and vibrant growth for plant, animal and souls flow throughout the land.

Your view switches again and you once again are hovering miles in the air above the land of Orin Rakatha but only Shard is with you. You can see points of light where you know towers to be, some a bright white others dim and faded. As you watch you are filled with the sense of purpose, to renew the land in a new form where people are free to walk the plane they live and not hide away. A plane of belonging and mutual benefit for all who live there in harmony with the living land.

. . . you sleep soundly until morning. . .

Re:Visions from the Mystics 3 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 1
These visions seem to refer to our community specifically and the major difference between them is what happens next.

Each vision provides 2 or 3 possible futures.

The first possible future from each Mystic specifically refers to the continuation of the Grey Tower and the reoccupation of the Black and White Towers. Non of these possible futures end well for us, the Grey Tower.

Perhaps this is why the Mystics are now breaking the Towers - to provide a better future for us, their Voice? After all, the Black Pharaoh makes it clear... “I do what needs to be done, the time of the towers is past."

I shall leave you to ponder these possibilities before commenting further.

Grandmaster Delta, on behalf of the Oracles.

Thank you for sharing these visions Master Delta.

This is a very small land we inhabit (my homeland is vast in comparison) and one that is also inhabited by many other different factions, many at odds with each other. Without the towers and the mists it would seem inevitable that there will be conflict between the inhabitants until an equilibrium point is arrived at.

Re:Visions from the Mystics 3 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 5
sounds to me like abandoning the towers altogether and forming a.....town, city, community state?? seems to be the way forward, if you wish to take the visions at face value.

after all if the mists are disappearing and after all the towers were created to protect from them what do we need the special protection from...well apart from a invasion from other towers of course. BUT! if we create a strong area on our own, we can surly be strong and when our position is secure we can then help our ally's, yes?

another question does anything live beyond the boundaries of the orin rakatha we all know is that they end at some mountains for all we know there may well be a whole world of trouble we can and probably meddle with (chuckle), but I digress, new dangers may await and it may take all the original tower occupants to help ward off these dangers, I guess I may be speculating but a unified Orin rakatha sounds better than massive internal war, plus another thing when whatever happens after the cataclysm I think war will be a whole new ball game I suggest we start thinking about that as well as what we will do with out our towers.

seems im going on a little but after reading about those visions I felt the need to put my first thoughts down, I maybe and probably am completely wrong but that's my 10 guests worth

Obelisk, I think you are correct in your assertion that war will have a new face on Orin Rakatha and I feel a certain amount of conflict will be inevitable. Just how much is hard to say.
It may be that a tower with a significant off-plane contingent could potentially send a great many troops here and take over the plane wholesale with the absence of the mists. I can think of several factions that have the potential for doing just that should they be inclined.

Thank you for sharing these with us, Delta.

I am somewhat concerned that the Black Pharaoh has apparently visited us but not broken the Tower - in all three visions it was clearly disadvantageous for us to remain within Fortunes Keep.

I have been in contact with Lord Lensal Blackbone and it is worth remembering that Dreadlord Araikas seeks to remain having the Black Pharaoh embodied - but for the Dreadlord to be 'in control' (as he was with Set) so that he may influence the Cataclysm as planned.

A few points to make to some adventurers. The towers came before the mists. The purpose was to prevent war over land it is believed. Second why are people talking of tye absence of mists? To my knowledge there is no lessening of them at all.
