An open letter to the defenders of the Alliance. 8 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 12
To the people of the Kern Valley Alliance and particularly Ezekial Bramble

I have, as is now probably obvious, spent the last year or so aiding in various ways the minions of Agoth, in what I saw as their unstoppable advance upon our Alliance.

My memory of this is still not clear despite the Hospitalers' best efforts and though I do not believe my efforts have seriously harmed the defence of the valley, the fact that our enemy saw no better use for me than that of assassin and gatherer of trinkets in no way excuses what I have done.

Bramble's attempt to save my life outside Yana's hut was repaid by me trying to take his and for this there can be no reprieve.

Therefore it is my intention to leave for Thranduil, just as soon as passage can be made available. There I will remain.

I hearby notify the representatives of the King that I no longer count myself a Kingsman. Furthermore, I reliquish the title Hero, which I only earned by accident anyway.

I wish all of you good fortune in the coming battle - it is, I believe, as Bramble suspects - Agoth has never encountered resistance such as this and its uncertainty will cause it to falter.

The tide has turned good people - fair sailing, as the Coursairs might say.

Stop bleating, drink up, and pull yer self together lad.

If yer set on going, leave word with us cos we might need to look you up on Thranduil, when all this Agoth business is done with. There's still that Dragon's treasure to find...

Garret, if attackin uvver party members while under outside influence was cause to not be in the alliance I'd 'ave been kicked out long ago, as would plenty of others. Don't mean I ain't still gonna fight against Agoth every chance I get.

But if you're set on goin, then I 'ope to catch up wiv ya on sunny Thranduil at some point. Say 'ello to me great, great, great grandfather if you're down the mine at any point but I wouldn't stay for dinner if he invites ya.

Garret,

I have only just heard of your message, and I am somewhat distraught, to say the least. When I returned a few moons ago, I was unaware that I had been away, and was under the impression that we had both returned safely from the mission on wich it transpires, we both were lost. Brother John attempted to help me, and received severe damage for his pains. It took a senator from the Empire to successfully remove the possession that was upon me.
It pains me that a friend and a comrade should think so ill of me, that I would not understand.
Unfortunately, I am fully engaged in preparations for another battle against the Arch-Fiend Agoth, so I am unable at present, to travel in person to ask you to reconsider. If, or when I return I shall travel to Thranduil to speak with you. Do not let Agoth triumph in this. Only by standing together will we defeat him.

For defeat him we shall, though some shall fall along the way.

garret just one thing, why let the devils think they have beaten you by walking away from the battle which you surely would win, you could make him pay 10 fold for every sin he made ur corporial form commit, it was not ur soul that did it for ur corporial energy was not in control and as such the same fiend which ezekial speaks of is now making you out to be in the wrong when gallant brother you did no such thing. make our enemy the vile putrid agoth pay for his dishonourable actions with 10 folds worth of blood and more and make them fear the name of garret and Leitha (nope that will never happen) of Kevrylin and Quicksilver, of Aruna and Zug, of slag and luca, and all of the people of the valley who have fought for one day i assure you they will sing our names in glory as agoth bows down at our gallantry. come brother let us take them and spill the blood of tyranny for the hope of a brighter day, a day when all are free and oppression and tyranny will no longer make people bow down and quiver in corners but when the sword once again proves that glory, duty, freedom and respect will rule instead of those who try to take everything for we are the valley and devided we may fall but together we'll stand against anything and anyone.

Fine words Fae, but you have not seen the horrors that I have been shown. Though Agoth no longer holds my mind in his grasp, the memory of it steels away my will to fight, lest I turn once more upon my fellows.

Ezekial Bramble, thank you for your kind words - it is a comfort to me that you have retained your courage where mine has deserted me. But I leave now, not because I think that you blame me, but because I do. I think Agoth affected us differently - perhaps your ward offered me some protection. It is difficult to explain, but rather than possession, with me, Agoth used persuasion - that is why I am guilty, if only it seems, in my eyes.

So my time here is done. In truth I have felt no home other than Thranduil since, first I travelled there some moons ago and I wish nothing more than to be free to wander those lands.

I wish you all fair fortune in the coming battle, whatever the outcome may be.

Garret

PS Bramble, I recall your theory about Agoth knowing doubt for the first time. I think you're right - twist the knife a turn or two for me will ya brother?

dont worry my fine fellow i know the call of freedom and the wish to feel the fresh breeze on ones face and the touch of the woodlands. i wish you many happy memories and many happy years on thuranduil. may you be happy in your life in some way i envy the chance you now have may you enjoy your life.

Do not worry fine brother, we will spill their blood and make them fear enough for the whole valley and ur good self. they will regret the day they heard of the KVA, the hardest fighting force in any plane. thank you for the luck. but with our brethren and our spirit we cannot foul but let the rivers run red with the blood of foul agoth to allow us to have tyranny and oppression fall and to have freedom, liberty and prosperity to come back throughout the lands. farewell brother i hope our paths cross again someday
