There are, of course, an alternative set of commandments:

  1. The first encounter you have on leaving a tower is always relatively easy
  2. Ghouls are attracted in large numbers to parties that make rapid progress overland
  3. All inhabitants of Orin Rakatha visit the same shoe shop
  4. Most opponents are happy to fight to the death, even if hopelessly outnumbered
  5. Necromancers all wear black
  6. Other people only ask to see your pass if you've forgotten to bring it
  7. Dead bodies decompose very rapidly
  8. Guildleaders get around a lot, but never do anything useful
  9. People from Wolfhold have the most fun
  10. The last encounter you have before returning to a tower is relatively hard
