Background

The Order of Saint Michel is a group of highly skilled warriors who have dedicated themselves to the service of the Good Sphere. It is their duty to defend the helpless and prevent the spread of the Evil Sphere.

Guildmembers

• Gilrain Hardwicke – Assistant Guildleader of the Red School of Magic is known to be a dedicated member of the Order.
• Duke Hanrow - Advisor to King Michel and well known for his rousing speeches.

Requirements to Join

In order to be accepted by the Order of Saint Michel a supplicant must vow to hold true to the demanding code of the Order. Should a member fail to uphold the code they will be asked to leave the Order. Furthermore the Order will not accept as a member anyone who has a connection with the Evil Sphere or who uses Items of Evil Power. Members of the Order may not learn the skills Sneak Attack or Throatslit under any circumstances as these skills have been deemed dishonourable.

Tenets of the Order and its Code of Chivalry

• Work to provide a safe place for the people of the Citadel and their Allies
• Discipline in all aspects of life
• Oppose the Evil Sphere and its followers
• Respect for all Peers and equals
• Honour to all above your station
• Military prowess exercised in service to your Order
• Never betray your word of Honour
• Defence of any charge to the utmost
• No honour in attacking an unarmed opponent (this does not include one disarmed during combat)
• Death before dishonour
• Reveal your Order to those who might understand the import
• Receive and give hospitality to other Knights
• Avoid war/opposition becoming a personal vendetta whenever possible even, in conflict we can have respect for our foes.
• Obey the codes of war amongst the Chivalric (things like the release of bodies after death, granting ransom, single combat offers most honour.)

These skills are available to Guildmembers at normal use of character points and the expenditure of one point of Status.

• Learn Invocations Rank 1 - 5

Note that before they have 640 points members of this Guild may only learn additional invocations of ranks 1 - 5. They are treated as a Secondary member of the White Path for the purposes of picking their invocations (they recieve two invocations per status point rather than three).

Status Skills Ranks 64 - 127

These skills are available to Guildmembers with more than 640 points at normal use of character points and the expenditure of one point of Status.

Members of the Order of Saint Michel are treated as Secondary members of the White Path for the purposes of picking their invocations (they recieve two invocations per status point rather than three).
