The Pathfinders

A statused member of the Pathfinders can take the title of Journeyman.

Background

The Pathfinders are one of the most important guilds in the Kern Valley Alliance. It is they who keep the lines of communication open between the Towers and adventurers in the field. Often working alone or in small groups Pathfinders must rely on their wits, skill and swiftness to avoid trouble that larger groups may blunder into. Pathfinders are trained in a variety of scouting skills and the specialisations of individual Pathfinders varies enormously.

Requirements to Join

Potential Pathfinders will have already demonstrated their ability to scout ahead of the main adventuring group.

These skills are available to Guildmembers at normal use of character points but do not require specific expenditure of Status:

• Discern Spiritual Influence
• Discern Poisoning
• Trap Handling

Status Skills Ranks 20 - 63

These skills are available to all Guildmembers at normal use of character points and the expenditure of one point of status.

• Discern Herbal Potion
• Discern Herbal Potion Mastery
• Enhanced Discern Herbal Potion Mastery
• Discern Alchemical Potion
• Discern Alchemical Potion Mastery

• Make Herbal Potion Mastery
• Additional Dexterity

Note that the spending of one status point allows your character to learn all of the Discern Potion skills. Character points must still be spent on them however.

These skills are available to all Guildmembers with more than 640 points at normal use of character points and the expenditure of one point of status.

These skills are available to all Guildmembers with more than 1280 points at normal use of character points and the expenditure of one point of status.

• Enhanced Additional Dexterity Mastery
