Archive Note: The home world of the Aldonar, the original race of the Dyman, is merged with the plane of the Sleepless Dead. As of Turning Moon, 10AR it is apparent that another plane, that of Chi-Chen, is in the process of merging with this plane.
"The Chiromancer... is a Realm Lord on this plane."
BloodBark, from his notes, Turning Moon, 10AR
Perhaps the most important thing to remember when dealing with the plane of sleepless dead is that while you are there (and occasionally when it is linked to Orin Rakatha: see point 2 ) to ensure that you have a Bless invocation of the Good Sphere running upon you. Without such protection (although Protection from Undead and/or Evil may suffice, the author has had no personal experience of these) it is possible for undead spirits to possess living beings and use the bodies for their own purposes.
At a date that usually falls toward the end of the 10th or beginning of the 11th month, All Hallows Eve (the actual date appears to vary according to an as yet undefinable time-table the Plane of Unshed Tears moves into close conjunction with Orin Rakatha. During this time powerful free-willed undead will often try to come through and "recruit" living beings for their armies and Necromancers will often use this time to power rituals and summonings.
While upon Orin Rakatha most undead encountered will be created by necromantic means and exhibit a rank (i.e. Rank 3 Skeleton) upon the Plane of Sleepless Dead undead are "natural" and will almost always be of a type Unranked (i.e. Unranked Zombie Lord) and therefore invocations such as Dismiss and Control are of no use. Should you encounter Ranked undead upon the Plance of Sleepless Dead then they are likely to be created/controlled by a necromancer or a undead spirit capable of casting ecromantic sphere invocations.
