"Inhabited by former members of the Tower of the Sun, who are at war with the Temple of Blood (a group of individuals seeking to enslave the populace ruled by 13 Immortals)
The inhabitants of this plane refer to themselves as the Otomi(?)and are generally a good people who live quietly. Their magical lore appears to revolve around a spirit of Knowledge called Quetzcouatl(?) who 'existed there before any others and will exist after all others have gone' (his own words).
"This spirit is a birdlike creature that flies across the sky trailing feathers, the Otomi spend much of their time collecting these feathers which either contain magic themselves or assist in the use of it (not being a mage I didn't really follow what was meant there...perhaps Shard can help more).
"During our time there a High Priest of the people performed a cosmic ritual to summon this creature in the hope that he could aid us. Although a very powerful spirit who claims to know all he is fickle and demanded several challenges of us with the answer being revealed by the spirits of the dead who he summoned up (that generally we had to fight in some manner), one would only answer while he was striking people (and he struck hard!), the other were Humacts of the Sacred Sword who were convinced we were undead. The last was a lich by the name of Kalan-mar-Fen (who the valley has dealed with in the past and was the master of 'The Lone Herald') who proceeded to reveal much of his history aswell as his involvement with certain groups in times long past but only after we had fought his minions (who continually re-arose from death) and he had slain Rancor with a great firebolt.
"At present the Otomi people are engaged in a war with a group called the Temple of Blood who are lead by a group of Immortals (originally 13 we slew one of their number and I believe a Otomi Immortal may have killed another). This Temple of Blood use in their ranks a variety of undead and it appears now that the whole plain of Chi-chen is slowly merging with the Plain of Sleepless Dead (perhaps hinted at by the fact that Quetzcouatl used the spirits of the dead to answer our questions).
Hopefully this information will allow others to assist the Otomi people in ways that we could not."

'The Temple of Blood have, like, 14 Immortals, one of whom is on his/her "40 year journey up the river to rebirth on the mountain" having been "slain". The Otomi blokes intend to raise 10 Immortals of their own, of which they have raised 4 at the last count. These Immortals are raised from dead people.'

Quetzcouatl being a fickle creature of great knowledge chose on many occasions to answer not what questions we put to it but instead the questions that were in our hearts now whether what occurred was a result to a question one of our number put to it or whether its was simply something it read in the hearts of the humact who made up our group I do not know nor believe it relevant...
Archive Note: There now followed an encounter with some ancient spirits regarding the origins of Humact.
