General

Colours - Unknown, however members of the Shadow Lodge are easily recognised as they are all corporeal Undead, that is to say, they are all solid.

Location - Somewhere in the Maegnor swamp.

Archivist's Note: It is possible the ShadowLodge may no longer exist, or at least is much diminished. Bloodbark's comprehensive account, reproduced here in its entirity, expands and corrects much of our knowledge. Note the contradiction with the statement by the Assembly Wraith below, regarding the Chiromancer's role."

"The Chiromancer is not related in any known way to the Shadow Lodge, he is a Realm Lord on the plane of Sleepless Dead.

"The Shadow lodge was ruled by a coven of 3 Hags, during our recent journey to the Maegnor Swamp we killed one of the coven as well as another hag she was attempting to recruit.

"The Shadow Lodge then apparently split into two groups, the one containing the Ghast King was lured to the Icarthian Triangle by the Kalid Earthwarp Pulse sect by the knowledge of a item that could be used to control him (I believe this was the heart of the Ghast King which has since crumbled to dust with his death but I may be wrong). The Ghast King then shifted with the majority of his forces to the plain of Chi-Chen (?) where the former members of the Tower of the Sun lived. It turned out the Kalid had used this item to manipulate the undead into travelling to this plain so they could be coerced into attacking the Temple of Blood ( a group of individuals seeking to enslave the populace ruled by 13 Immortals). After the Kalid attacked us and we slew them and their leader (whom we believed to be Jezzra Hunnet despite he did not recognise Shard) we then used the heart which had the ability to disguise whoever touched it as whatever undead they thought of till they removed their disguise.

"We proceeded to disguise ourselves with myself being the leader, a Rank 8 Vampire, we then joined the court of the Ghast King and under the recommendation of the Otomi (the name the Tower of the Sun give themselves) advised the Ghast King to split his forces and attack two of the Immortals to aquire the item that could control him (i.e. the heart we were using). This was mostly a success, there was some confusion and we ended up intercepting a small group later which contained the Ghast King, his Vampire follower Omar Shareef and one of the Immortals all of whom were eventually destroyed.

"We did aquire at one point a complete list of the forces at the Ghast Kings command which numbered over 700 undead. We know for a fact that at least 2 of the hags remain (one spoke at the Ghast Kings council on behalf of one more powerful) aswell as a order known as the Shadow Knights whose champion is Gurnt Ironclaw, a vampire knight. I believe High Priest Shard has a complete list of the forces that he'll hopefully pass on to you shortly. As far as I know the 13 Crypt Things still exist, whether they remain on Orin Rakatha or moved to Chi-chen I do not know. Myself and my fellow Gauntlet Lupus were both in the front line when we suceeded in destroying a Crypt Thing in the Maegnor Swamp, however it seemed to me relatively easy to dispatch and as Djim said at the time we do not know if it had already started to transfer itself to another host although High Priest Hagan of the Humact did state that crypt things are physically very week.

"I hope others within the Valley benefit from this information."

"The Shadow Lodge was created at the end of the Dymwan wars. It is ruled by The Ghast King. The Crypt Things serve the Chiromancer, the ultimate embodiment of bone."

Assembly Wraith, in conversation with Alliance mission, 10th of Harvest, 10AR

"Another part of the Shadow Lodge is the Coven. A letter from a member of the Coven to an independent and powerful free-willed undead inviting it to join the Shadow Lodge has been intercepted by an Alliance patrol. The letter mentioned that the Maegnor Swamp will soon be too small to contain the Lodge, and that the ever-increasing number of minions is increasingly hard to control.

"The message was born by a Hex Creation, escorted by four Skeletal Attenders. According to a member of the Assembly, HEX Creations are formed by Hex magic, an entirely new form of magic."
