Icarthian Triangle
The result of an attempt by the the Icarthians, the Valdemar, and the Labyrinthe of Xenos to create a safe environment between their towers. The attempt failed and the Icarthian tower was destroyed. Within the triangle is a strange area known as the void.
Unattrib, 10AR
Archive Note: The previous assumption that the destruction of the Ikarthian Tower was due to the the breaking of Orin Rakathan Law is now known to be false. Such statements have been removed from the contribution below.
"Previously, a different type of Hordeling, referred to as a 'Void Hordelings', prowled the Triangle. It is believed that these were generated from the Void at the centre of the Triangle...the Void was used to 'swallow' the Darkwind during the Dymwan Wars; this was achieved by a group of Valley Heroes. If the Darkwind still exists, it is in (or on the plane of) the Void."

"In brief the Icarthians...set up a ward between thier tower and Xenos and Valdimar towers the effect was to stop any hordlings from entering the arera bounded by those towers... Ok now for my suggestions if you want to know go talk to the Icarthian ghosts they are in the area of the triangle because it seems thier entier race was killed in the cataclysum. They are dificult to talk to as generally they just repeat their last actions but you may be in luck ."
Melkeron, in conversation with Kal, 29th of Harvest, 10AR
"I just wanted to say that I was on a big mission in the Ikarthian triangle about 10 years ago. We learnt from the ghosts that the Ikarthians and the 2 nearest towers had tried to keep the mists and the hordelings out of their area of Orin Rakatha."

Oasis of Souls
A great desert, near the center of which is the ex-Bethelim tower. Inhabited by Easterlings (desert men), whose leader, the Pasha, was slain some years back an Alliance mission.
"we met the Easterling who introduced himself as the Deputy Slave Master and told us that his master (The Slave Master !) had warned him of our coming . We do not know how he obtained this information and suspect possible treachery from within . We convinced the Easterling that we were here to buy slaves and he was to intoduce us to his master the following day who would display current stocks . We suspected that some of the slaves may have been the missing White Retreat members whose powers would have been stripped from them by the Oasis of Souls."
Blathazar, mission report, Green Growing Moon, 9AR
Pendaron Wood
The location of 'The Tangled Web' an inn of poor reputation. The wood is also believed to be a Thissesin spawning ground.
"...S's'sar of the Thessessin arrived asking us not to approach some nearby pools of water which they were using for purposes of procreation."

Sacred Groves
Travel to other planes may be through sacred groves, the Reader's Hut, the World Window of the Dai-fah-Dyne, or other magical means.
"Groves need periodic re-alignment due to the drift between the spheres."

Valgrind Pass
"The Valgrind Pass area is intermittently available to our Herbalists as a place to collect rare herbs. Most of the time it lies under the Mists but every so often the Mists roll back and members of the Seekers, Pathfinders and Assassins visit the area and collect unique and unusual herbs. Recently the Mists have rolled back and several groups have ventured out to pick herbs. However these have all returned with no memory of what has happened to them in the Valgrind Pass and without the Herbs which make the journey profitable. These Valley members are currently being checked out within the Hospital and appear none the worse for wear apart from this gap in memory. We are therefore sending a mixed Valley group to the area to investigate and hopefully resolve this effect. If any of this group wish to make further enquiries then please address them to myself at the VAT Barracks."
Lazarus Steel, note to Archivist, 5th of Harvest, 11AR
"The Valgrind Pass is plagued by the mists and the hordelings empowered by them... there was a 'floating area of power' that roamed the pass and seemed to affect peoples dreams, this was in someway related to something known as the 'Well of Dreams'."
