"Sector 7. Farming sector of the valley tower.
"Many years ago when the valley folk arrived in this land they sought and were granted the valley tower by the mystics. This tower was, like many others, shaped to suit the people who would live there. It consists of a main tower of many levels and a number of seperate but conected sectors (pocket dimensions). The sectors were shaped to a single purpose, farming sector or crafting sector and in such number as to meet the requirements of the new people of that tower.
"All but one of the VAT farming levels consist of large flatish planes with many fields and orchards cut through with small rivers and streams for water. Sector 7 on the other hand was not as requested. It is mostly sea with hills and rocky coast lines, the fields here tend to be smaller and of less quality. This area also has more rivers and streams and some areas which are basicly swamp. For this reason a lot of sheep are pastured here, the valley does its salt water fishing here and the valley lizard folk have a colony here as well.
"However to me it is of more importance that this sector contains the ruins and in several cases the mortal or ghostly remains of the previous peoples here, the race of LAW called the Shen-Dai. Each tower and sector when it is prepared for use by the mystics is cleared of all previous inhabitances. This was confirmed by the allied towers we had when we arrived. In the case of sector 7 though we had ruins and artifacts of the previous people who called themselves the Shen-Dai and who had a culture somewhat like the peoples of Akari.
"I first went there along with the group sent to investigate when farmers in the sector found a tomb under one of the farm houses which contained a body and grave goods. After much work and many late nights we were able to translate the script we found and learnt much of the people who had been there before. Sector 7 had been attached to thier tower many years before and as a coastal people who ate much fish it had been shaped to suit them. There had been a plague in the sector and the rulers of the tower had, in the end, cast the sector loose from there tower rather than risk the rest of the tower. Those trapped there ran out of supplies and died eventualy.
"The Shen-Dai as a people had many clans and one of these, the Broken Arrow, stormed Hell itself to hold back the armies of Chaos from the mortal realms. The valley followed them in this when we sent a group of adventurers on the mission known as the Crusade, I'll tell you a few tales about this another time but this is where we carried back the Inheritance from the last fortress at the gate to the chaos hell.
"Anyway Sector 7. As per the inside of the towers magic and power does not work. I will point out as a word of warning that they do not work as is commonly understood, casting does not work. However the spheres are closer here than they are in the normal realms and what you say or do is noted by the powers that be. Those who follow and call upon the spheres should perhaps take a little care what they say and to whom, the spheres will be listening.
"The folk of the sector are many and varied, some are retired adventurers who cannot risk the outside but who do not wish the peace and quiet of the normal sectors. You also find the odd researcher here and from time to time you may meet me as well.
"Because of the strange nature of this place and the way they died you can also find in several places the ghosts of the Shen-Dai. Warrior Monks replaying final battles and others doing the word they did last. Some are hostile and can cause harm, these are very dangerous because within this sector no defense works. Those within the sector are part of the powerfull protective magic field of the place and when this is corrupted to cause harm it is very bad. Any attack becomes in some way amplified by the very power that should stop it and no matter how tough or well protected you may be a single blow will cripple what ever part of you is struck.
"There was also within the sector a very dangerous spirt who has possessed a body and wanders here and there. Because dismissal does not work here he cannot be banished or even cast out of the poor man. This spirt is malicious and caused the plague that not only resulted in the Shen-Dai being exiled but also caused us no end of problems when we were there. This was when Raucus told us to fix the problem or he would have no choice but to cast loose the sector as the Shen-Dai had done. Nothing like this to motivate you to solve a problem.
"Finaly there was also a Hepath living here, he poped in from time to time to use the facilities of our station. As far as I know he no longer wanders here but you never know."

"I was also a member of the group that performed the initial investigations into Sector 7. It was indeed a very strange place that somehow was not cleared out when the previous inhabitants (the Shendai) left. A malevonent spirit remained. This spirit took the form of a man and whenever it was around, strange things happened - one of which was that you could be injured.
"Neither Magic or Power worked, as one would expect, but at times (when the spirit was near) you could use weapons and strike people. Everybody were equals and merely one blow would render a limb unusable and several blows could kill you. If your faith was great enough you could do other things as well. For example, by calling upon Blue Magic I resurrected Gurthang."

"There is little to add from the other reports given except to reitteratre that if the spirit comes into the area you are in then you can access the spheres and the elements to achive this though it is an act of faith and belief. I firmly belive that I could ressurect people in there with no casting equipment. It primerally seems that oly healing worked but that may have changed.
"The entity that we encountered inhabiting a person called Kartain as my memory serves he made physical contact with all of us apart from Sky and this infected us with the equivelent of a minor disease.
"The Hepath that Djimm refered to was I belive the Bosho whopassed on some knowlage to us and we then allowed him to leave the Tower. I belive that a group lead by Arakis encountered him outside the tower.
"Once we were infected and the spirit came into the area we were effected by attacks initially the effects were minnor and as time passed they became more severe. We noted that once we were wounded as the spirit came the wounds became painful in the extreme.
"I strongly recomend you have atleast 2 people capable of adminastering Greater elixiers as with that level of skill you should be able to save lives if the worst happens as we had people who bled to death because we were unaware of the situatuion.
