Who are Heroquest?
Heroquest LARP is one of the longest-running LARP clubs in the UK, founded back in 1986. Throughout 2010 we will be running one event per month. We offer a high-hit, high-fantasy system and currently run larp events across the UK in:

What Is LARP?
LARP (also known as lrp and larping) stands for Live Action Role Playing. Fantasy LARP takes you away from a world of computer screens, mobile phones and noisy traffic, and into an extraordinary magical universe with amazing costumes, beautiful countryside and strange, mythical creatures.
You get to create your own character, change your appearance, and live as that person would for a couple of days.
You get to feel the grip of an ancient sword in your own two hands. But will you raise it against the enemy?

What Goes On?
|
After years of plotting, evil-doing and powermongering, the black-robed Necromancer sits casting a ritual that will strip all life from the land: yours included. The area swarms with his undead, foul creatures brought back from the grave that now do his bidding.
Will you fight your way to him in time?
Will you strike him and bring his wrath upon you?

The Heroquest campaign is set in the intensely magical worlds of Orin Rakatha and Murandir, where elves and druids mingle with half-orcs, where drow wizards scheme alongside goodly paladins, and everyone ultimately owes their lives to those who can draw upon the powers of healing.
Many things within the world have been shaped by the actions undertaken by players over the years. One of the high points in a character's career is to take part in a six-day Quest, an event that is designed to challenge you to the core and - hopefully - reveal to the world your true courage and heroism.
